Sid Wright is a live broadcast sacrifice to the Grindinglord. He seems to have willingly put himself forward to be a sacrifice. The original plan was presumably for him to be heard constantly on the radio, not sleeping, until his death. His programme plays on Greater Glottage Radio.

Personality[]
Sid Wright is never physically described, and his personality shifts from a professional front[1], to a manic worship[2], to an almost bitter take at how long he's lasting[3], to an agonising end[4]. Then he kills his boss, and tells everyone to sleep, which works on all the people that heard it.[4]
Behaviour[]
As a Saint, Sid Wright gains the abilities of a rhetorical god. He tells his listeners to sleep, causing people across the Peninsula to suddenly become unconscious.[4]
Background[]
On the eighth day of his sacrifice, we receive insight into his choice.[2] He states "what's a life, without something to devote itself to?". It is unclear why Sid Wright has chosen instant coffee. His brother-in-law asks that question of him, as well. He praises being able to see his last sunrise. Then by the end of it, he is in agony, at the pain of becoming physically unable to sleep.
In his last coherent appearance,[3] he views himself as a miracle- likely still in devotion to the Grindinglord. He laughs at his producers, who expected him to be dead by that point. We next hear from him when he appears to die.[4] He kills his boss. He appears to have undergone a change, stating that he has seen a new god. It may not be a coincidence that this happened around the same time as the wither mark was cast. He also says he's decided not to be a sacrifice anymore.
